WELCOME TO
THE OTTAWA VALLEY LIMBHANGERS
CHAPTER OF THE NWTF

Who are the NWTF ?

ReleaseSince 1996, NWTF Canada has been plotting the map with turkey releases, fundraising banquets and local chapters. With more than 6,000 members across Canada, the NWTF is making strides to fulfill its mission: the conservation of the wild turkey and the preservation of the hunting traditions. Since 1985, more than 4,600 wild turkeys have been trapped and transferred within the borders of our northern neighbor. Along with trap and transfer, the NWTF has spent nearly $400,000 to enhance wildlife habitat, youth education and hunter safety, among other projects. To find out how to join, or for more information about NWTF Canada, call (800) THE-NWTF.

John Larose on the left and Carson Folkard successfully harvested a turkey after two previously unsuccessful hunts.
This bearded hen weighed in at 16lbs. with a 81/4" beard.
Carson called this bird in during
an afternoon hunt using a box call by Glen Lang called the "Feather Ruffler"
John shot the bird at 8 yds. Making this a memorable hunt for both John and Carson.
